It was three cheers for ... the cheerleaders, when Blackburn Rovers opened its doors to a troop of young Rainbows from Rossendale!

More than 70 young girls, aged 5-7, attended a "Rainbows Go Wild" event held at the Indoor Centre at Ewood Park in conjunction with Blackburn Rovers Community Trust.

"The girls enjoyed a great time, not only cheerleading but also getting involved in street dance and, of course, football!" said Mary Evans, Haslingden District Commissioner for the Rossendale Division.
