A new Internet room and games facility is set to net winner after winner at Blackburn Rovers Indoor Centre - thanks to the partnership between CXL PAYP (Positive Activities for Young People) & Blackburn Rovers Community Trust.

‘Click @ the BRIC' is specially designed by young people for young people and hosts the latest technology in PCs and gaming consoles for young people to use in a safe and fun environment.

"The ethos of ‘Click @ the Bric' is to bring young people from across the town together and for them enjoy a secure environment whilst accessing structured activities, learning opportunities, advice and offering support and guidance to those who seek it," said Ibby Khan the Trust's Head of Community Sport and Healthy Living. He added, "Young people will also learn different skills such as filming and will have the opportunity to produce short video clips promoting the different types of activities on offer to young people living in Blackburn with Darwen. These clips will be uploaded to You Tube and other social networking sites."

Blackburn Rovers Indoor Centre is a Positive Place for Children and Young People, which is open during the times when they are most vulnerable to risk taking behaviour. Some come just to enjoy the offer of the range of activities available, for others it is a second home where they know they will always get a warm welcome and find a caring and supportive member of staff ready to help with any problems they may have.

Opening times are as follows: Monday - Thursday 6pm - 10pm Friday - Saturday 6.30pm - 9.30pm.
