Rovers' Community Trust is offering free badminton sessions for men over the age of 18 within the Blackburn and Darwen area, as part of its new Premier League Health Project. The sessions, which started in January, take place every Monday between 8pm-10pm at the Blackburn Rovers Sports Arena, Darwen Vale High School. Participants are encouraged just to turn up and play badminton, but will also have the chance to play competitive matches within a league format and can receive some free coaching if required. With a link between the Community Trust and Badminton England, there are chances for some participants to go through a Badminton Level One coaching award and also the chance for the group to be turned into a badminton club that take part within competitive leagues.
