Blackburn Rovers Community Trust is pleased to be working in partnership with Creative Support to allow continuation of the 'My Life' Mental Health Football League for a further 3 years following the end of current funding arrangements..

The League seeks to address the isolation, stigma and discrimination surrounding mental health and emotional well being, providing opportunities for players to take part in friendly competition, while also helping them, through peer and professional support, to make healthier lifestyle choices and to develop self-confidence and self-esteem. In addition to the continued running of the League the funding secured from Creative Support will also afford participants and volunteers the chance to gain refereeing qualifications, take part in team building days and to attend presentation evenings.

Teams currently playing in the League include Café Hub; James Street; Lancashire Mind; Blackburn Brasilia; Fountain; Community Restart; Affinity Support; Almond Villas and two from Wigan Athletic Community Trust.
