Brighter Futures
This extended programme, the delivery pattern of which can be adapted to suit school timetabling, comprises a menu of educational workshops and sporting activity, structured according to individual need at KS4 and above. Developed with the aim of helping students improve their employment options, the programme offers accredited learning opportunities and basic qualifications. Focus of the educational workshops is on Skills for Life, which includes confidence building, motivation, job search, job applications and interview techniques, ICT support tools, CV production and personal planning. Particular emphasis is placed on the reinforcement and extension of literacy and numeracy skills. Basic qualifications across a number of sports can be offered.
