Developing emotional health and well-being: Research demonstrates that when young people feel good about themselves they perform better. This programme serves to provide a safe and nurturing environment in which they have the opportunity to learn and to develop into confident and resilient individuals – the adults of tomorrow. Focus is placed on the provision of both education and physical activity as a way of changing lifestyle culture through promotion of the social and emotional aspects of learning including self-awareness; personal well-being; aspiration and self-esteem, and social skills, such being the underpinning qualities and skills that help us manage life and learning effectively.
