Schools Coaching
Blackburn Rovers Community Trust is launching a new School Coaching Initiative offering a more flexible approach to school requirements with some very competitive packages and programmes.
Community Trust coaches deliver an ever expanding menu of structured sports sessions including football; cricket; tag rugby; tennis; hockey; basketball; dodgeball; jump rope; netball; Boxercise®; table tennis; badminton; Zumbatomic®; fitness training; bench ball; dance; cheerleading; multi-sport and Health, Diet and Nutrition workshops. Sessions can be delivered or coordinated at a time to suit individual school requirements be that as curricular, extra-curricular, breakfast, lunchtime, after-school, weekend or holiday programmes, helping to support all schools in meeting the PESSYP five hour offer and extended schools targets.
With an established reputation for quality delivery the Trust offers:
- A range of sport and physical activities to help meet the needs of children, their families and the wider community at grassroots level.
- Single gender and mixed gender coaching (age appropriate).
- Coaching for young people with disabilities.
- School team coaching.
- Activities to help raise self-esteem, develop team working and to reduce self-exclusion.
- Expert coaching to assist young people in developing the next level of competition and to identify pathways in joining accredited sports clubs.
- School sports days, held either on school site or at Blackburn Rovers Indoor Centre (B.R.I.C.)
All members of our coaching staff are qualified to relevant National Governing Body standards and CRB checked at Enhanced Level.
