Is BTEC the perfect programme for you?

The Blackburn Rovers Community Trust BTEC programme for the new academic year is now underway with a fresh batch of students enjoying the unique benefits the course has to offer.

The students’ start to life at Ewood Park has been extremely productive with a number of interesting lessons and a first taste of competitive football match.

The A team made the 200 plus mile round trip to Cumbria to face league champions Carlisle United and claimed a 3-1 win whilst the B team lost away against Accrington Stanley.

The BTEC programme offers students who have just finished high school education the unique opportunity to study for a fully accredited qualification under the Blackburn Rovers umbrella

So if you are not enjoying the course you have signed up for or tempted to be a late signing for Blackburn Rovers Community Trust, this is the programme for you!

The full breakdown of both courses is below.

Level 1 (Entry Level) (Only three places left)

• An interest in sport required;

• Education delivered in partnership with an OFSTED outstanding college;

• Teaching and training delivered at Ewood Park in state of the art facilities with fully qualified specialised teaching staff, with full learning and UCAS support.

Level 3 BTEC in Sport (Development, Coaching and Fitness) (Only two places left)

• Equivalent of 3 A Levels;

• Gain sufficient qualifications to attend University or a quality entry level job;

• Five GCSEs or equivalent including Maths and English at A-C required;

• Education delivered in partnership with an OFSTED outstanding college;

• Teaching and training delivered at Ewood Park in state of the art facilities with fully qualified specialised teaching staff, with full learning and UCAS support.

Head of BTEC Chris McGrail said: “If you are more of a practical learner, then our courses may be just for you. Our courses offer a minimum of four hours football training per week plus competitive matches against other EFL clubs running the same BTEC programme.”
