EFL Girl's Cup

The Football League's Kinder + Sport Girls' Cup gives every U13 female high school team in the country the chance to dream of playing at Wembley.

The final is held as the curtain raiser to the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Final each Spring, but to get there, you have to beat the best sides linked to your club, area and region!

We hold heats for year eight teams at the Blackburn Rovers Indoor Centre to determine which school will win the prestigious honour of representing Blackburn Rovers in the inter-club phases, and pull on the famous blue and white halves.

Following all the local excitement, the winning school that claims that accolade will take on our nearest Football League neighbours such as Bolton Wanderers and Preston North End in the area finals stage, and if successful, progress to the regional finals to take on the very best of the north. The winners of that third and final hurdle will then claim the chance to take on the southern winners at Wembley.

Our 2015/16 representatives from Greenbank High School in Southport stand just one phase away from playing under 'the arch', having made the northern finals in Huddersfield in February 2016. Fingers crossed that the girls will take us all the way to Wembley in April!
