Grassroots Club Session Hailed a Success
Blackburn Rovers Community Trust ran the first ever CPD session to partnered grassroots clubs last Friday and it has been hailed a huge success
The evening was held at the Rovers Senior Training Centre and gave coaches and players the opportunity to take part in the evening, surrounded in Premier League facilities.
The players took part in sessions running side by side on the indoor pitch facility. The community trust coaches laid on sessions that enabled the young players to improve passing ability and awareness of space. Meanwhile coaches were invited in to the gallery room for a talk from Rovers Head of Academy Recruitment.
The feedback from the evening has been fantastic with one of the grassroots coaches hailing the entire event a complete success.
"Its been a great evening. The perspective from tonight is something you won't normally have. Normally as a coach, you're in the thick of it and can't take in too much. This has been able to give me the chance to take a step back and watch what goes on."
After the success of this trial session, the trust are planning on an open invite session, similar to this to take place at the end of the current season. Keep your eyes peeled across our website and social media pages.
