BRCT to take on Rovers Readies
Blackburn Rovers Community Trust – the official charity of the football club – are excited to be assuming responsibility for the Rovers Readies weekly draw from Monday 18th March 2019.
For the draw’s loyal participants, this shouldn’t mean any immediate noticeable change to the way that most of you enter the draw, but we hope to draw your attention to a couple of planned modifications so that you can see how your contribution will continue to help support the club’s Academy whilst giving you the chance to win some great prizes.
Where is the money going? Though Blackburn Rovers Community Trust are now the designated managers of the draw, the Blackburn Rovers Academy are still the beneficiaries of the proceeds, once prizes and sellers’ commissions have been deducted. This means that we will still be helping to nurture the next David Dunn, Ryan Nyambe or Tyler Magloire.
Where is the lottery now based? The main difference for those who pay in person is the contact point, which has moved from the Roverstore to the Blackburn Rovers Business Centre, Darwen End (1st floor), Ewood Park, BB2 4JF. Personal callers can pay their subscription fees here between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. We can also offer prize collection from the adjacent Blackburn Rovers Indoor Centre outside these hours, by prior appointment. To make such arrangements or ask us any questions, please use our new contact number – 01254 508139 – or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Have the rules changed? You will find a key list of prize draw rules at www.brfctrust.co.uk from no later than Monday onwards and they are largely unchanged, but please be aware that to ensure your number is entered in to the weekly draw, customers must have paid their fee before 5pm each Thursday. The draw will then take place the following day, with a new draw slot of 12pm-2pm each Friday.
How can I enter the Rovers Readies draw? There are various ways to enter, with the easiest and quickest way being to set up a standing order by getting in touch using the contact points above. Those who pay their fee to a collector on a weekly basis can still do so.
How much does it cost? For just £1 per week, you will be entered in to the Rovers Readies draw. There is no limit to how many £1 entries you make each week.
How do I know my number(s)? Upon joining the Rovers Readies draw, you will be given details of the numbers you have been allocated in the draw and these numbers will remain yours for as long as you continue your £1 per week subscription for those numbers. Each £1 entry gives you five numbers in the main draw, so if you spend £1 per week you’ll receive five numbers in each draw, if you spend £2 per week you’ll receive 10 numbers, if you spend £5 you’ll receive 25 numbers, and so on. As we hope to expand the number of weekly prizes in due course, this means that it could soon be possible to win multiple prizes from one weekly entry if you’re particularly lucky!
What can I win? The weekly jackpot remains at a very enticing £500 for the jackpot winner, but we hope to help the lottery to grow, and if we are successful in achieving our aim, we hope to be able to offer additional or increased levels of prizes.
How do I know if I’ve won? We plan to continue publishing the winning draw numbers via the same existing channels – the club website, matchday programme, stadium screens and Lancashire Telegraph among others – but will now also plan to make the details available via the Blackburn Rovers Community Trust website (www.brfctrust.co.uk), Facebook and Twitter pages (@BRFCTrust).
When do these changes take effect? The first week of the new lottery rules and procedures will be the week commencing Monday 18th March 2019.
If you have any queries relating to the amended Rovers Readies draw details, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us via 01254 508139 or email@example.com.
We hope that all of our current loyal participants will enjoy the benefits of our plans for the draw’s future growth and look forward to welcoming any new weekly players who want to help support the future of the football club via a draw that offers some very welcome incentives in return.
