Premier League Primary Stars

Blackburn Rovers Community Trust has in partnership with The Premier League now launched the “Premier League Primary Stars programme”, aimed to engage, connect and inspire boys and girls aged 4 – 11 years old into regular sport and activity promoting fair play, motivation and ambition to reach their goals and potential.

Primary Schools from Blackburn, Darwen, South Ribble, Chorley and the Ribble Valley can now register for the scheme, which has been carefully developed with teachers and will use the power and popularity of the Premier League to;

The Primary Stars programme will provide schools with curriculum-linked resources for PE, PHSE, English, Maths and Enterprise that will inspire children to reach their goals, whilst teaching the importance of working together and playing fair.

Learning materials such as assembly ideas, videos, differentiated activities (online and classroom-based), teach notes and assessment support will be provided to every school that registers for the programme, along with the chance to win a school visit from the Premier League trophy!

Our sport and Education Department at Blackburn Rovers will be implementing and delivering the Primary Stars programme with links to Ewood Park, competitions, festivals, player appearances and match day experiences.

All Staff at Blackburn Rovers Community Trust are full qualified to minimum level two in the sport they are delivering whether that be football, dance, gymnastics, cricket, orienteering, athletics and early years or classroom based activities. All staff will be working towards the AfPE L3 teaching qualification as a minimum requirement, this along with a fully qualified teacher ensuring all activities are in line with the National Curriculum that ensures Blackburn Rovers Community Trust are at the forefront when it comes to PE provision in primary schools.
