Foundation Degree

Study for a foundation degree in the top-quality facilities here at Ewood Park - with the chance to turn it into a full Honours degree in your third year.

Our foundation degree in Community Football Coaching and Development, awarded by the University of South Wales, is a unique opportunity for you to gain skills in multi-sport coaching at different age groups, football development, social inclusion and sports management - a true all-round package that also aims to get you up to speed as an FA Level 2 coach alongside other vocational qualificiations.

The small class sizes ensure that you receive close personal attention from your enthusiastic tutors, enhancing your support and learning opportunities. Though based primarily within our stadium in Blackburn, you'll also benefit from a minimum of five days per year at the £3.7m state-of-the-art coaching and performance development centre, USW Sport Park, in South Wales, to live the 'away from home' student experience.

The foundation course is a two-year programme, with the option for a third year for those who wish to progress to Honours standard.
