Junior Supporters Club

Blackburn Rovers’ Junior Supporters Club offers a unique home matchday experience for the club’s younger generation of supporters.

The Junior Supporters Club has already proven to be a popular scheme, with many children signing up during the 2017/18 promotion winning season at Ewood Park. The project has been made possible courtesy of funding from the Premier League and Football Foundation as part of the Fans Fund.

Aimed for children from the ages of eight to 12, the Junior Supporters Club was recognised by the EFL and helped Blackburn Rovers win the prestigious Family Club of the Year award.

Junior Supporters Club members are provided with the chance to see behind the scenes at Ewood Park on a matchday, just hours before the first team play an important league or cup fixture.

Members will also sample facilities such as the GAME Room, located in the Blackburn Rovers Community Trust Family Stand and play the latest version of EA Sports’ popular FIFA video game. Alongside this in the Blackburn End, the Strikers Lounge’ has a table tennis and snooker table alongside a selection of consoles and video games.

The project has also targeted areas of high deprivation in the community to provide opportunities to young people who may not have access to football. There are also outreach workshops that are run on a consistent basis, covering elements such as citizenship and anti-racism to engage participants.
